Made by RoxyRaptor and posted on Twitter: “I made a diagram that shows that #CallumKeithRennie should have been cast as John Constantine in the Hellblazer movie”

WILL REBLOG EVERY TIME I RUN INTO IT!

I’VE YEARNED FOR THIS FOR YEARS AND I’M GONNA BE SO BITTER WHEN THEY INEVITABLY CAST SOMEONE OTHER THAN CALLUM KEITH RENNIE IN THE NEW TV SERIES. :((((

For those unfamiliar with Neil Marshall, he’s an English filmmaker who specialises in gleefully violent, suspenseful horror movies like Dog Soldiers, The Descent, and my all-time favourite, Doomsday. He likes to make movies about monsters and grotesques, and old-school Dracula is a monster and a grotesque rather than the dapper aristocrat we see in most cinema adaptations. — Hello, Tailor: Neil Marshall set to direct “The Last Voyage of Demeter”.

Can you even IMAGINE how awesome it’d be to see a seafaring Dracula movie starring Viggo Mortensen and Noomi Rapace? — Hello, Tailor: Neil Marshall set to direct “The Last Voyage of Demeter”.

I feel like Neil Marshall would probably go for the absolute opposite type of vampire from the True Bloods and Twilights we’re seeing a lot of right now. Temporarily unbound from the constraints of having to act like an aristocrat and a gentleman, the voyage to England is the perfect setting for Dracula to turn into the kind of feral monster we see in Dog Soldiers and Doomsday. — Hello, Tailor: Neil Marshall set to direct “The Last Voyage of Demeter”.

The concept of The Last Voyage of Demeter is straight-up Alien. Except instead of being in space, all the action will take place in an ocean-going Victorian ship that can creak ominously and provide Neil Marshall with unnumbered opportunities for gruesome death scenes. I noticed some people wondering if it’s possible to retain suspense in a story like this when the audience already knows that all of the main characters are marked for death from the get-go, but… isn’t that like most horror movies anyway? These things are all in the execution. — Hello, Tailor: Neil Marshall set to direct “The Last Voyage of Demeter”.

The Last Voyage Of Demeter concerns Dracula’s journey from Transylvania to England, during which Dracula killed all but one of the ship’s crew. Unlike every other aspect of the Dracula story, the voyage to England hasn’t really been explored much, and under Neil Marshall’s direction I’m hoping for it to grow into an awesomely schlocky, 19th-century version of Alien. — Hello, Tailor: Neil Marshall set to direct “The Last Voyage of Demeter”.

This one probably falls into the category of Don’t Get Your Hopes Up Yet, but I can’t bring myself to care. The mere concept of a seafaring Dracula movie directed by Neil Marshall causes me to froth at the mouth. — Hello, Tailor: Neil Marshall set to direct “The Last Voyage of Demeter”.

"Malcolm McDowell’s character is a prime example of the impracticality of the Evil Overlord mindset. Instead of trying to find a few generators and getting someone to set up WiFi so the surviving Scots can start a Twitter feed about how shit it is being trapped in a country full of plague corpses, he concentrates on making sure that everyone who lives in his castle is dressed with historical accuracy.” — Movie Costumes I Have Loved: Doomsday
