how to make a standing hood out of a tshirt and a wire hanger without sewing a god damned thing

this is for a job I have tomorrow as a character actor at a Mos Eisley themed event. I decided to go as a Jawa dancer.

this hood is so incredibly comforting; what if I just wear this all the time, what if I make three or four and just live in a softy blinkered universe the rest of my life, shades of black and brown and athletic heather providing a soothing tunnel version the rest of my born days

Possibly one of the most hilarious diagrams of a sewing machine I’ve seen in my life. From now on I am calling bobbins “arc reactors”.

CRYHOLE YES THAT’S WHAT IT IS

Fun fact: if you have a cryhole that is side loading, make sure the arc reactor and its blue line make a q (blue line is the tail)
If you drop the arc reactor in flat, make a p

In the spirit of Junya Watanabe’s reworking of Japanese military surplus for his SS 2006 and AW 2006 collections, I reworked this skirt (made for his SS 2006 collection but shown on the AW 2006 runway) into drop crotch shorts with a flared tail.

I’ll feature the skirt, which is a piece of design artwork, in a later post.

Worn with

Linea (Carpe Diem) Cashmere Cardigan

Junya Watanabe for Comme des Garçons SS 2006 Military Surplus Skirt

Ann Demeulemeester Nabuck Leather Leggings

Martin Margiela Line 22 Tabi Boots

Yeah this is super brilliant. And also I love people who take scissors to designer clothes.

Once you decide that nothing is sacred, the universe opens into a sea of raw materials.
